- Beeler's name is very similar to that of episode writer Ken Keeler who, like Beeler, holds a PhD and can therefore be referred to as "Doctor". Beeler's collegue actually bears a stronger resemblance to Keeler.
- In recent episodes, Beeler began speaking with a lateral lisp.
